Product Description
1,2-Ethanedithiol is a chemical compound with a mercapto group attached to each carbon atom of the ethylene backbone. It is commonly used as a reagent in organic synthesis for the introduction of sulfhydryl groups into molecules.
Application:
1,2-Ethanedithiol is employed as a cross-linking agent in the production of polymers and as a reagent for thiolation reactions in bioconjugation chemistry. It is also utilized in the manufacture of specialty chemicals and pharmaceutical intermediates.
