BG1500 is a Bridgman furnace with the maximum temperature of 1500℃. It is designed for the directional solidification of Polycrystalline Ingots up to 25mm diameter. The heating module & cooling fan with adjustable speed is beneficial to create a large temperature gradient at the interface of the molten / crystalline state. An automatic crucible retrieving system enables the most convenient way for sample loading/unloading. The optional crucible rotation stage can be added at additional cost for single crystal ingot growth.

 Product Description

The Bridgman furnace is equipped with a range of advanced features to facilitate precise temperature control and sample handling. It incorporates a single-heating zone heating module and two cooling fans with adjustable speeds, strategically positioned to regulate the temperature gradient at the melt/crystal interface during the furnace exit process. The furnace's Φ25mm alumina sample table, featuring temperature testing capabilities, provides accurate readings of the crucible's bottom temperature and overall temperature distribution within the furnace chamber. Loading and retrieving samples are made convenient with the inclusion of an electric lifting sample table.

 

Operating on AC380V three-phase power with a total rating of 9.5KW, the furnace achieves a maximum working temperature of 1500 ℃ and maintains continuous heating at 1450 ℃. Its silicon molybdenum rod heating element ensures reliable performance. The furnace tube, constructed from corundum and measuring φ40mm by 1200mm, is equipped with stainless steel sealing flanges, enabling single crystal growth under vacuum or inert atmospheres. The alumina sample table, sized at Φ25mm by 25mmH, includes an embedded S-type thermocouple at the bottom for real-time sample temperature measurement.

 

Featuring a single heating zone with a total length of 240mm, the furnace employs a PID system for temperature control, accommodating the setup of 30 segments for both heating and cooling programs. The system includes protective measures for over-temperature and broken thermocouples, maintaining a temperature accuracy of +/- 2℃. Temperature monitoring is facilitated by an S-type thermocouple. Cooling fans with adjustable speeds are strategically placed at the bottom exit of the furnace to manage heat. The furnace heater, with a travel distance of 200mm, moves at a variable speed ranging from 0.03 to 3mm per hour as the sample moves relative to the furnace heater. The Bridgman furnace is designed for precise temperature control and efficient sample handling in various laboratory applications.
