 Product Description

The 25VIM, a compact vacuum split induction heating and melting system, is a comprehensive solution for high-temperature applications and research on new metallic alloys with melting points below 2000℃ and quantities less than 500g. The system comprises a 15KW induction heating power supply, a Quartz Tube with Flange and Valve, a Graphite Crucible and Refractory Assembly, a 4L/m Recirculating Water Chiller, a Vacuum Pump, and a Mobile Cart.

 

Operating at 220V AC, 50/60 Hz, with a Three Phase power supply, the 15KW Vacuum Induction Melting System ensures efficient performance. It handles a working current of 42 Amps, necessitating a 50A breaker. The system boasts a maximum input power of 15KW, featuring an adjustable output frequency ranging from 30 to 80 kHz with an 80% duty cycle. Its induction coil, measuring 95mm(OD) x 85mm(ID) x 50mm(H), provides precise control, offering adjustable auto heating, dwell, and cooling times from 1 to 99 seconds. The system incorporates air cooling through a rear fan and incorporates automatic water pressure, over-temperature, and overpower safeguards.

 

The vacuum chamber features a half-open quartz tube (80mm OD x 75mm ID x 300mm L) with an option for a larger tube at an additional cost (100mm OD x 92mm ID x 300mm L). Equipped with a stainless steel flange, high-temperature silicone o-ring, and self-tightening structure, the system includes a high-purity graphite crucible (2.285" OD x 1.415" ID x 3.05" Deep) with a 79mL capacity. A complete alumina refractory assembly supports the crucible, featuring the bottom crucible support, crucible holder, and cover, with an added chamber shield for protection and containment during potential chamber explosions.

 

The system attains temperatures up to 2000℃ using a graphite heater, with temperature control achieved by adjusting the current; however, it does not include a separate temperature controller. The water chiller, with a temperature range of 5 - 30℃, has a water flow rate of 16 L/min and a 12-liter stainless steel water tank. It is recommended to use a specific coolant for optimal performance. The system comes with a 156L/m Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump suitable for vacuum operations, with a maximum power consumption of 0.4KW / 0.37KW.

 

Mounted on a heavy-duty mobile cart with a steel frame, providing a stable surface for the Induction Heater and Quartz Tube with Flange, the system offers two protective shield options: a phenolic sheet shield for Non-UL Certified versions and a clear polycarbonate shield for UL Certified versions, designed to contain glass shards in case of accidents. The main components have dimensions as follows: Induction Heater (18.5"L x 12"W x 17"H), Water Chiller (18"L x 8.7"W x 28"H), and Heavy Duty Mobile Cart (600mmL x 800mmW x 597mmH). Covered by a one-year limited warranty with lifetime support, the system weighs 105 kg (230 lbs). Operational considerations include managing gas pressure and monitoring chamber conditions during heating.
