Tailored for researchers exploring new metallic alloys with melting points below 2000ºC and quantities under 500g, this 25KW Small Horizontal Vacuum Induction Melting furnace is a robust tool for diverse melting and heating applications.
Operating on a working voltage of 220V AC, 50Hz, Three Phase, with a working current of 42 Amps, necessitating a 50A breaker, the induction heater delivers a maximum oscillating power of 25KW and a max input power of 15KW. The adjustable output frequency (30 - 80 kHz) and 80% duty cycle ensure versatility in operation. The specialized induction coil (95mm OD x 85mm ID x 50mm H) enables efficient heating, with automatic heating, dwell, and cooling times ranging from 1 to 99 seconds. Key safety features include automatic water pressure, over-temperature, and over-power safeguards.
The vacuum chamber, equipped with a graphite crucible, houses a half-open quartz tube (80mm OD x 75mm ID x 300mm L), with an optional larger tube available at an additional cost. The chamber features a stainless steel flange, high-temperature silicone o-ring, self-tighten structure, two valves, and a vacuum gauge for precise control. A KF25 connector and a 1000mm long stainless steel pipe connect to the vacuum pump. The high-purity graphite crucible (2.285" OD x 1.415" ID x 3.05" Deep) boasts a 79mL capacity, while the entire refractory assembly is crafted from alumina.
Operating at a remarkable temperature of up to 2000°C using a graphite heater, the furnace offers temperature control through current adjustment during sample melting. For efficient cooling, the system includes a water chiller with a 5 - 30°C temperature range, a water flow rate of 16 L/min, and a 12-liter stainless steel water tank. Specific coolant is recommended for optimal performance, and a 110V water chiller is provided for US customers. The package also includes a 156L/min Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump with a maximum power consumption of 0.4KW/0.37KW, and a 110V vacuum pump for US customers.
Designed for user convenience and mobility, the furnace rests on a heavy-duty steel frame mobile cart with a 600mm(L) x 800mm(W) surface, accommodating the Induction Heater and Quartz Tube with Flange. The system incorporates a protective shield, either made of phenolic sheets or clear polycarbonate based on UL certification, essential for safety and containment in case of accidents.
