The 6-position compact SILAR dip coating system stands as a sophisticated solution designed to streamline and automate the SILAR (continuous ion adsorption reaction) film deposition process, eliminating the challenges associated with manual operation. In a manual SILAR process, operators contend with the complexities of executing numerous repetitive dipping actions into a solution and water, leading to potential fatigue and errors. The automated counterpart alleviates these concerns by allowing the operator to simply secure the substrate into the holder and program the controller with the desired dip cycles and durations, thus enhancing precision and efficiency.

 

Operating on the principle of the SILAR method, this system employs a liquid phase film preparation process involving multiple substrate immersions in a given solution and deionized water, with adjustable temperatures. The 6-position compact SILAR dip coating system incorporates a range of technical features to address diverse coating requirements. Utilizing a stepper motor actuator with a lead screw drive mechanism ensures precise and controlled dip coating operations. The system offers flexibility in dip duration adjustment, ranging from 0 to 99 seconds, minutes, or hours, catering to a variety of coating applications. Exceptional speed control is achieved through digital adjustment of drawing speeds, allowing independent speed setting for each of the six breaker stations in the range of 1 to 9999 μm/s or 1 to 12 mm/s. With support for one to 999 coating cycles, this system accommodates a broad spectrum of research needs.

 

Regarding power input, the system operates on single-phase 208-240VAC with a maximum power consumption of 600W, providing adaptability by including a power cable without a plug. Users can install a plug according to their regional standards or lab requirements. The stepper motor-driven actuator offers a maximum stroke length of 75mm. The sample holder is designed for efficiency, featuring three sets of sample fixtures capable of accommodating up to 18 samples, with each fixture accommodating six sample slides. The system is complemented by six 150ml glass beakers for immediate use. The control unit boasts an LED display for speed adjustments and supports memory for up to 8 programs. Temperature control is precise, with a digital controller ensuring accuracy (+/-1°C) for temperatures up to 80°C, aided by a bottom heating plate for all breakers. Ensuring safety compliance, the system's electric components are UL certified, and it can be prepared for TUV, CSA, or UL testing at an additional cost.
