(Non-self-consuming) mini metal melting furnace is a small high vacuum arc melting furnace, which is equipped with a visual vacuum pressure gauge to directly observe the vacuum degree in the chamber. The alloy ingot can be turned for multiple melting without destroying the protective atmosphere of the gas, and up to 7 samples can be prepared at the same time. When the furnace is working, the electrodes and crucibles should be cooled with circulating water to ensure that the electrodes and crucibles will not be melted.

The Mini Metal Melting Furnace boasts several technical parameters, including a flexible power supply option of AC380V 50Hz, providing an optional overall power of 7.5KW. The furnace's vacuum chamber is designed with dimensions of Ø200mm × 300mm, while its crucible configuration offers seven available sizes, with a standard size of φ25 and custom sizes available upon request. The furnace achieves impressive vacuum degrees, capable of reaching 1E-5mbar with the molecular pump or 1E-3mbar with the rotary vane pump, and users have the flexibility to configure their diffusion pump for even better vacuum conditions. The furnace employs a non-consumable arc starting electrode, utilizing a Tungsten needle (W), and it is specifically designed for melting metal materials with lower melting points than tungsten metal. Remarkably, it achieves melting temperatures of up to 3000℃, allowing for the melting of nearly all metals, including 4.5g and 10g metal tungsten samples. Additionally, the furnace offers an optional maximum melting capacity of approximately 100g for iron in a single cavity crucible measuring 70mm. The Mini Metal Melting Furnace, denoted as MSM20-7 (Non-consumable), comes with specific installation requirements and notable features. It is designed for use in conditions below 1000m altitude, at a temperature of 25℃ ± 15℃, and with a humidity level of 55% Rh ± 10% Rh. The furnace necessitates specific conditions, including water for self-circulating cooling (filled with pure or deionized water), AC380V 50Hz power supply (with a 63A air switch and proper grounding), argon gas (with purity above 99.99%) to fill the chamber, and a sturdy workbench (floor-standing) measuring 900mm × 600mm × 700mm, capable of bearing more than 200kg. Adequate ventilation is also required. The primary features of this furnace include a convenient Ø120mm furnace door for sample handling, front and rear observation windows for monitoring the arc melting process, and water-cooling for the vacuum chamber, copper crucible, and arc starting electrode. The up and down movement incorporates a steering wheel design for flexible control, and a manipulator turning mechanism ensures the protective gas atmosphere remains intact during multiple alloy ingot rotations. The crucible design favors the production of multiple samples while preventing sample contamination. Overall, this furnace offers a compact, user-friendly, and space-efficient design.
