Multi-function roll-to-roll pilot coating system can adapt various coating heads such as reverse comma blade, doctor blade, slot die and micro gravure and tape casting.A 4.5 meters long, three zone convection drying oven with independent temperature programming is implemented for efficient slurry curing. Multi-function roll-to-roll pilot coating system is an all-in-one machine that can select a variety of coating methods to achieve different coating process requirements. It can be applied to the surface coating process of various substrates. It is a pilot-type coating equipment.This is the most complete and universal pilot coating system that provides a broad adaptability to various coating slurries and film substrates (Cu, Al, PET, PP, PE).

 Product Description

The coater offers a versatile range of coating methods tailored to diverse thickness requirements. The cost-effective Doctor Blade method is ideal for coatings ranging from 10 to 200 microns, especially in continuous mode. The Reverse Comma Blade, also known as Transfer Coating, presents a cost-effective approach for coatings spanning 30 to 200 microns, supporting both continuous and intermittent modes. For thicker coatings up to 1000 microns with high viscosity slurry, the Tape Cast Coating method is the preferred choice. The Micro-Gravure method is specifically designed for achieving precise and thin coatings ranging from 1 to 3 microns in dry film thickness. Lastly, the Slot Die method offers precision coating for thicknesses as fine as 1 micron while providing extensive coverage for thicker coatings up to 200 microns. These methods collectively provide flexibility and accuracy to meet a wide range of coating needs, establishing the coater as a versatile solution for various applications.

 

The multi-function roll-to-roll pilot coating system is equipped with specifications to cater to diverse coating requirements. Operating on a working voltage of 208-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz, available in both single and three-phase configurations, the system has a maximum power consumption of 30 KW, requiring a 50A air breaker. While compressed air at 0.5-0.8 MPa is essential for optimal performance, an air compressor is not included. With a reeling/unreeling diameter accommodating a maximum of 350mm O.D and 3-inch shaft diameters for ease of use, the system allows for a generous 350mm maximum coating width, ensuring comprehensive coverage. The maximum coating speed of 5000mm/min adds versatility for different coating applications.

 

Offering various coating heads, including Reverse Comma Blade, Doctor Blade, Tape casting, Slot Die, and Micro-Gravure, the system caters to different coating needs. The Reverse Comma Blade supports both continuous and intermittent coating modes, with a coating thickness range of 30-200 microns. Operating within a typical slurry viscosity range of 500-10000 mPa.s, it ensures precision with ±3μm accuracy. For thicker slurry up to 1000 microns, the Tape casting method is ideal, with a precision of ±5μm. The Slot Die coating method caters to uniform film coatings from 1 micron to 200 microns, while the Micro-Gravure method provides precision coatings ranging from 1 to 3 microns in dried film thickness. To facilitate drying, the coater features a convection drying oven with a three-zone design and independent temperature controllers, reaching a maximum drying temperature of 150°C. The system consumes 9KW for a single zone and 27KW in total. The product dimensions measure L6600mm x W1200mm x H1850mm, with a net weight of 12.3t. Backed by a one-year limited warranty and lifetime assistance, it's essential to note that any damage resulting from improper storage conditions or maintenance is not covered by the warranty, emphasizing responsible equipment use.
