Product Description
The Vacuum Long Tape Casting Coater is a versatile and efficient tool designed for the cost-effective development of 18650 battery electrode materials. With a vacuum chuck and an oil-free vacuum pump, this coater allows the creation of long thick films using a micron-sized adjustable doctor blade. Featuring a unique automatic propulsion unit, it ensures a smooth coating on materials over a length of 180mm and a width of 600mm. Operating on a 24VDC input voltage and consuming 120W of power, the coater offers variable traverse speed ranging from 10 to 80mm/sec, and a customizable stroke length from 10 to 800mm using an adjustable position switch.
Constructed with a platform made of aluminum alloy and a flat vacuum chuck measuring 800mm in length, 250mm in width, and 25mm in height, the coater provides a stable foundation for film application. Equipped with a built-in pushing bar, it facilitates the use of a micrometer adjustable applicator for precise coating. The included 180mm width applicator, with a micrometer adjustable head, allows for coatings up to 800mm in length and 180mm in width, ensuring versatility in application. Notably, the thinnest achievable film thickness is greater than 10 microns. While a vacuum pump is required for operation (not included), the coater can handle a maximum coating area of 800mm in length and 250mm in width, showcasing an impressive film thickness accuracy of +/- 0.01mm.
In terms of dimensions, without the heating lid, the coater measures 960mm in length, 370mm in width, and 240mm in height. With the heating lid, the dimensions are 900mm in length, 370mm in width, and 313mm in height. Despite its capabilities, the coater maintains a relatively lightweight design with a net weight of 40kg (90 lbs), making it a versatile and convenient choice for a range of tape casting applications.
